Hobo Nickel Ring
Hobo Nickel Ring
Just when I thought the Indian head ring couldn't be cooler, I found a talented engraver who could craft hobo nickels for me. This Dias de los Muertos hobo nickel is a true original. Hobo nickels are an American art form that started in the early 1900s, and they continue to be made today. I had this design crafted by Shane Hunter in Ohio, and he's supplying them to me exclusively.
The foundation is a brushed silver band, tough enough that you won’t be worried not worried about damaging your ring. On top is a hand-carved hobo from a 1930s Indian head nickel. It’s big and solid. Meaning, you aren't going to bend this thing.
